Chongsan Kwon is the head professor of the Department of Metaverse Convergence at the Graduate School of Catholic Kwandong University, Gangneung, Korea, and the head professor of Computer Graphic Design Major at the undergraduate level. He is leading the 'Interactive Metaverse Convergence Research Center(IMCRC)' and is the CEO of TechSAN Inc. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from  Kyonggi  University in  2002, his Master of Engineering in Visual Contents from Dongseo University in 2009, and his Doctor's degree (Ph.D.) in Digital Contents and Information from Seoul National University in 2017. He worked as an Assistant Professor in the Computer Engineering Division at Dongseo University from 2018 to 2021. His research focuses on establishing metaverse ecosystems and applying XR(VR)/MR(AR) for education, healthcare, and social welfare systems,  with a  particular focus on experiential learning and situated learning. Some of his research interests include:

Seungjae Lee


Senior Researcher


Seungjae Lee is a senior researcher at Catholic Kwandong University's Industry Coorperation Foundation. He graduated from the Department of Physics at Gangneung-Wonju National University in 1997 and received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the same university in 2007. He was the CEO of RealInside, a company that produced a 3D virtual space creation system using real-world images from 2007 to 2010 and worked at LG Electronics as a senior research engineer on the AR-HUD installed on cars from 2017 to 2019. In 2021, he researched autonomous vehicles as a Research Professor at Kookmin University's Industry Coorperation Foundation. His current research interest is a virtual space creation optimization techniques using spatial data such as point cloud and his rearch interests include:


- Optimization

- Point cloud and mesh

- Metaverse

- Volumetric capture technology


Youngwoo Go


Researcher


Youngwoo Go is a researcher at Catholic Kwandong University's Industry Coorperation Foundation. He graduated from the Department of Electric Engineering at Gangneung-Wonju National University in 1999. He had worked in the Computer Graphics industry for 17 years. His current research interest is the realization of VR metaverse space using Computer Graphics and point cloud technology.


Daeyoung Moon


Researcher


Daeyoung Moon is a researcher at Catholic Kwandong University's Industry Coorperation Foundation. He graduated from the Department of Biology at Gangneung-Wonju National University in 2005. He worked on 360-degree VR filming and editing VR/AR video content in his field. His current research interest is Point cloud-based metaverse space implementation and the main task he is in charge of is implementing Metaverse space using Metaport Pro 3.
